Richard WM Hudson (b.1980) is a British mixed media artist with a background in film production and interior design. Working primarily from the countryside, he has been creating ceramic sculptures for the past 27 years, having exhibited nationally and abroad.
Hudson combines various media in his work, bringing ceramic, wood, stone and photography together. Hudson’s work has a dark ‘Vogue Baroque’ aesthetic and revolves around the natural erosion of materials, nature’s own destructive power, and the emergence of new growth. Hudson describes his most recent work on display as ‘tall, elegant and statuesque, a void, a remembrance of what once was, a re-birth, growing and twisting back out of the ground.’
