The Gallerie dell'Accademia presents InAccademia, a solo exhibition by Tristan di Robilant.
Through twelve glass sculptures, di Robilant creates a dialogue with the museum’s architecture and collection, placing each work in conversation with its surroundings. Crafted in Murano at the Anfora glassworks, the sculptures embody sinuous, abstract forms that invite reflection and evoke moods and memories rather than literal images. Literary references, from Dante to T.S. Eliot, run through the exhibition, highlighting di Robilant’s belief in glass as a material of poetic resonance. Works such as La Lumera (2024), a ruby-red glass sculpture inspired by Dante’s Inferno, and La Sibilla (2024), referencing Eliot’s The Waste Land, exemplify this blend of art, history, and literature. Placed throughout the museum, including the Palladian courtyard and Vasari ceiling room, the sculptures act as visual lenses to see the Accademia's masterpieces in a new light.
InAcademia runs as part of The Venice Glass Week, reaffirming di Robilant’s long-standing exploration of glass as a medium of abstraction, memory, and transformation.
