Stained glass exit sign.
Originally opened as the Willis Theatre in 1923 (2,166 seats), it is located in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx. In 1926 it was operated by the Consolidated Amusement Company, and in 1939 it was renovated and renamed the Casino Theatre to coincide with the New York World’s Fair. It closed in the early 1970s and the auditorium was divided: the sound floor was converted into a supermarket while the upper floor is used for storage.
