Tristan Hoare is delighted to be participating at NOMAD ST. MORITZ for the second year in a row. NOMAD ST. MORITZ is a highlight of our winter art diary, in part due to its fantastic selection of international galleries from around the world. This year, we are particularly delighted to present Symphony, a booth composed of artworks by contemporary artists working in a range of mediums and scales, with a particular focus on the varied use of materials.
Bronze and stone sculptures of resting animals and human figures by Mick Cooper and mixed media sculptures by Nicolas Lefebvre will be displayed in the middle of the room, while large scale painted canvases by Alessandro Twombly, oil and charcoal abstract paintings by Sydney Albertini, small scale watercolours by Pierre Le-Tan and a giant Gunnera leaf by Dominique Lacloche will hang on the surrounding walls. Luminescent glass bricks by Flavie Audi will also add a sparkle to the room's walls.
We hope to see you there!
This year the fair will take place in Grace La Margna — one of the most anticipated new hotel projects in St. Moritz. After many years of renovations, the historic hotel — initially built in 1906 in accordance with plans by the renowned architect Nicolaus Hartmann in the Art Nouveau style — will reopen its doors this summer. In the meantime, the hotel will be activated by NOMAD and turned into the most exciting art and design exhibition, with a pop-up bar and restaurant to entertain visitors in a majestic setting overlooking the lake and snow-capped Alps.
